Russound

Today I spent about 4 hours trying to figure out a problem with Russound components, over an hour of that on the phone with tech support. Most of the problems had to do with getting the iBridge (for the http://www.apple.com/itunes/) functioning properly. The set-up I was working on had three CAV6.6 units and an ST-2 tuner linked using Rnet. To program the 6.6's, the company recommends that all three 6.6's be disconnected and programed individually. So, each time that a different unit needs to be programed, the open file needs to be closed and a different file opened. Then they need to be powered up starting with number three then two then one. Then it came down to having to upgrade the firmware in the iPod. When it was connected to my laptop, the screen said "do not disconnect". But after 15 minutes, I noticed that no information was being moved about. So I downloaded iTunes and I think I updated the firmware. But it still didn't work properly. Oh well, some other day.
